SeeMail improves Engagement for Mobile Users
PDF Print E-mail

SeeMail, LLC is the creator of the mobile phone application SeeMail, available now in the App Store.  SeeMail is a revolutionary new mobile app for photo sharing.  SeeMail adds something special to your photos … your voice!™ We are the first to add voice to photos using our patent-pending AudioT.ag™ technology.

Seemail moves mobile photo sharing to the next level by adding the emotion and feeling of the human voice to the photo sharing experience.  SeeMail is personal, intimate, beautiful, fun, and easy to use.  SeeMail appeals to all ages, has thousands of uses, and has a cool retro vibe with mailbox icon, location postmarks, and vinyl record imagery.

“Every now and then a technology breaks the surface that begins as a bubbling brook between friends, before exploding across the landscape as a disruptive force. It’s an addiction that leaves you feeling ‘what did I do before?’”  Dean Donaldson on SeeMail, Global Head of Innovation, MediaMind

Product: SeeMail is a free mobile application available for download in the iTunes App Store. Our proprietary patent pending technology allows users to record an AudioT.ag™ with a photo and share the SeeMail directly with others via the app or by posting to popular social networks such as Facebook.

Team: The SeeMail team has extensive knowledge and experience in business, management, technology & social media. SeeMail Founder Ward Chandler brings 25 years of experience, leadership, insight, vision & public company office. Co-Founder and PO Engagement Kent Speakman is a recognized expert in social marketing (Top 10 Digital Marketer of 2011) and brings 15 years of marketing and management experience.  Our Technology team combined brings 50 years of web and mobile technology development, composed of a team of IOS developers and designers committed to building SeeMail into the next social media powerhouse.

Market Landscape:   Mobile photo sharing is a dominant market driver of social media.  As the market for mobile & photo sharing apps continues to grow and expand, the need to create communication clarity and establish deeper connections between users becomes a critical success factor.  Snapping a photo and emailing it to friends is out of favor.  Posting and sharing of photos on Facebook is huge – so huge that it has become noise.  It is impossible to keep up with all our friends posts, shares and tweets in an overcrowded stream of data.  An opportunity exists to fill the current gap in photo sharing with a creative and fun new format.

Solution:   SeeMail is personal.  Seemail is a visual message that is funny, loving, moving, beautiful, important, or just plain cute.   And SeeMail is much more than a photo – it is the Story Behind The Photo.  And to make it even more personal, SeeMail adds something special to your photos – your voice.   No other app has ever blended photos, captions, locations, and audio like SeeMail.

SeeMail establishes a personal connection that no other photo sharing app provides.  Whether the SeeMail is sent from one to one, or from one to millions, it is from one person to another directly through the app.  SeeMail is not another endless stream of photo sharing.  It is about connection. It is about one person speaking to another.  It brings the voice back into the equation.   And while SeeMail is personal, it also has key social elements.  Conversations are created around each SeeMail by recipients, and every SeeMail can be shared to popular social streams like Facebook and Twitter as a way to draw more people into the experience.

Users: Our users are non-technical mobile app enthusiasts who enjoys photo sharing. This market is very large. The photo sharing app Instagram now boasts over 50 Million users and has shared more than 1 billion photos.   SeeMail was designed from day one to be super simple to use.    Over 800 hours of user experience design was built into our first version of the app and we have consulted with everyone from A-List Celebrities to members of the Navy to ensure we have built a product to deliver.    Our goal is to make SeeMail friendly, fun, beautiful, and easy to use.  We have a great start in our first two versions of the app and we will continue to build toward that goal.  With users as young as 5 years old and as old as 70 we have a product that everyone is falling in love with.  Billions of digital photos are shared through mobile apps, and every one of them has a story.  SeeMail has very strong personal use cases between family and friends, and equally strong business use cases between professionals and clients.  Real Estate and Design are emerging as two early popular business use cases for SeeMail.

The recent $1 Billion Instagram acquisition by Facebook has shed even more light on the mobile app market, and the photo sharing vertical in particular.  SeeMail sits in the sweet spot of that market and is perfectly timed to ride that wave of popularity and publicity.

Advantages: Most photo sharing apps provide a silent public stream of images, which is in distinct contrast to the way in which SeeMail can not only be shared peer to peer or publicly, but also with unique verbal descriptions. SeeMail is engineered to be simple, fun and engaging. Our patent pending AudioT.ag™ system is the first to add voice to photos in a peer to peer mobile app. Celebrity users are already sharing content while engaging with other users in ways never possible before.

Cost: SeeMail creates immediate value for our users with the free version of the app.  The free app is fully functional and a pleasure to use.  Paid features have become available the second week of May. Within the app enhancements are longer recording times, increased sharing options, and fun pay-as-you-use viral features are coming soon.

Marketing:  Prior to its launch SeeMail ran a successful social media campaign resulting in over 20,000 twitter followers and over 10,000 Facebook fans.  SeeMail had a “Quiet Launch” on March 31, 2012 with no marketing or publicity to allow for public testing of the app in full release.  This proved very beneficial, with user comments and feedback being incorporated into Version 1.2 of the app – approved and released by Apple April 26.   Version 1.3 is  complete and has been submitted to Apple for approval.  With these two follow-ups, SeeMail is fully featured, tested and ready to push to a large audience.   The SeeMail Ambassador Program is kicking off this spring with numerous actors, musicians, authors, models and other influences already signing on board.  SeeMail is also participating in technology and targeted business conferences, music and concert events such as Bonnaroo and Coachella, and of course a marketing campaign that will involve our celebrity partners.

Sight, Sound, and (e)Motion

Video & TV are the hottest sectors in marketing. And for good reason - Aside from the largest share of marketing budget, there's nothing like sight, sound and (e)motion to connect with consumers and motivate them to care, consider, and buy. The iMedia Video Summit is all about video, synergies with traditional television and a deep dive into the platforms, formats, and ecosystem that's rapidly changing the space. Talk of 4-screen as a new phenomenon was the rage last year, but now ubiquitous digital video consumption is the norm, and it's happening new places like in-theatre and store aisles. It's particularly timely given that it falls at the launch of the upfront season. It's about practical solutions for video opportunities, all outside of video's very traditional legacy. ENGAGEIA will be attending with our friends from Shaw Communications to ensure we are staying on top of the latest trends in video!

Conference Hours
Sunday, March 25 - Wednesday, March 28
